About

For over ten years, Van Dyke Lawrence Architects has been providing technical services that build up communities. These services include analysis, research, and planning for buildings, neighborhoods, and historic preservation projects alongside publication support for the architecture and urbanism community.

Van Dyke Lawrence Architects is led by Amy Hetletvedt. As a cross-disciplinary thinker, she brings the creative approach of an artist and the detailed, process-oriented approach of a researcher to her projects and collaborations. Amy is a licensed architect and a federally qualified historic architect with experience in U.S.-based urban settings and abroad. Among other professional and volunteer positions, she has served as a Historic District Commissioner for the City of Detroit and an editor for the Amsterdam-based platform Architecture in Development.

Van Dyke Lawrence Architects  works internationally and is headquartered in Michigan, U.S.A.
